Bangla Honours at National University is a four-year program that explores the richness of Bengali language, literature, linguistics, and cultural heritage. Students study poetry, novels, drama, short stories, folklore, literary criticism, and the historical evolution of Bangla literature from ancient through medieval to modern periods. The program also covers phonetics, linguistics, and literary theory. GPA and CGPA are calculated based on the official NU grading system, where letter grades from A+ to F are assigned numeric values to determine semester and cumulative performance across 120 total credits.
The calculator converts each selected letter grade into the official NU grade point, multiplies it by the subject credit, and divides the total weighted points by total counted credits.
Bangla subjects, optional groups, practical papers, compulsory papers, and non-CGPA subjects are loaded from the department data below so the calculation matches the year-wise structure of the program.
